Back to uniqueness

This mornings blog is about originality.Fashion is supposed to be innovative and original, unique wearable art pieces. But in 2010 were are bombarded with branding, marketing, and corporate images that tell us where to buy how to buy and who to buy from. Right down to our ethnicity, nation origin, age,and financial status, we are pushed in specific direction on what we should wear to express "who we are". The only way to stand out among billions of candles in the sun is to embrace new designers, shop at boutiques, and reinvent an old dress.

Washington DC has many awesome Boutiques that can satisfy the pickiest taste :) Caramel Located on

Music & Fashion

Fashion & Music has always gone hand and hand with stylist in the background bringing to light the glamorous lives of those in the industry. Rye-Rye an extremely talented club/hardcore rapper is bringing her own style and versatility. Discovered by M.I.A , Rye-Rye is a force to be reckoned with, her style is reminiscent of Salt-n-pepa but she adds her on spin to the game. Straight out of the clubs of Baltimore Md and onto the covers of major Magazines, she is definitely a trend setter to be watched.

Lebanon & japanese product_Momoko

Lebanese fashion is living fantasy . Lebanese fashion designers put create Haute Couture designers wear that speaks opulence. The mixtures of rich colors and fabrics, silks, chiffon's, and embellishments crystals, diamonds, lace, pearls, Makes it hard to resist the Bollywood style dresses, however to market to American women, the gowns are a little to extravagant. to market to Women in the US the clothing has to be functional , practical wear for the everyday business women. Women in Lebanon have lots of free which they spend taking care of themselves, dressing up to the nines to impress girlfriends. In Lebanese society , it is patriarchal , The men are head of household due to Islam & Christianity the two main religions. So for Lebanese designers to increase the current market the labor force for women in Lebanon has to change first which would lead to designers creating ready to wear clothing that is geared toward work clothing.
